JOB SUMMARY
The post is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the IT activities in the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit – Ho Chi Minh City. He/she is also responsible for managing and optimizing the organization's cloud infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of cloud-based systems, in particular the Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure platforms.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
SA Engineering and Provisioning
- Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure on platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and performance.
- Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
- Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions for IT operations
Operations and Support
- Administer and maintain operating systems and software running on cloud instances.
- Administer and maintain operating systems and software running on OUCRU Premise servers.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
- Maintain encryption of all laptops and portable devices following the Information security policy and Encryption SOPs.
- Support IT Manager for management of IT assets in OUCRU to be used appropriately and available in the right places with good condition.
- Provide IT induction and appropriate computer training to OUCRU staff.
Maintenance
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
- Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
- Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
- Collaborate with Other IT professionals in OUCRU HCM and suppliers to maintain servers, computers and related equipment.

This post is based at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit, the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.
HOURS OF WORK
Full time. 37.5 hours per week, extra hours may be required
TENURE
Initially for 01 year, including a 02 month probation period, with possibility of extension.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Strong SA experience in network infrastructure, virtualization, Linux, Windows OS and cloud computing.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft 365 applications such as Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Microsoft Power platform.
- Strong experience in Microsoft 365 administration and support
- IELTS equivalent 5.0/ Fluent in English communications

- Strong experience in delivering high level IT helpdesk services to end-users.
- Analytical problem-solving skills, willingness to learn, self-initiative.
- Team player, organized, patient, dedicated, tactful, understanding, disciplined and mature.

BENEFITS
- Contracted salary:
o Grade: RS3/IC3
o Salary ranges: $1,335 - $1,626
- Optional insurance: In-patient and out-patient medical coverage; Personal accident insurance coverage
- Two months salary for annual bonus and clothes
- Annual leave 18 days/year for the first year, a maximum of 30 days
- Other responsibilities and benefits are based on Viet Nam Labor Law.
